The NeuroSLAM Project\u00a0aims to model the neural mechanisms in the brain underlying tasks like 3D navigation and 3D spatial cognition to develop new neuromorphic 3D SLAM and 3D cognitive navigation technologies for space, air, land, sea-based neuromorphic robots and vehicles.<\/h5>\n\n\r\n\r\n\n

Our Vision is to understand the neural mechanisms in the brain underlying 3D spatial navigation and to develop novel neuromorphic 3D SLAM and 3D cognitive navigation technologies for neuromorphic robots.<\/p>\n\n\r\n\r\n\n

  • How do the brain and neurorobots process 3D goal-directed navigation and 3D path planning efficiently?<\/li>\r\n
  • How to model the spatial neural mechanisms and episodic memory in the brain underlying 3D navigation?<\/li>\r\n
  • How to build a novel neural network for performing 6DoF path integration?<\/li>\r\n
